Before booking an appointment please check who is best placed to deal with your condition:

To book an appointment please phone 01978 367921. There will be a member of staff available from 8:00am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday to answer your call. Appointments can be made on the day or pre-booked up to 6 weeks in advance.

We operate a triage service where patients telephone the practice from 8.00am, you will be asked the nature of the problem to the receptionist. All of our reception team are care naviagation trained and can sign post you towards the relevant service following their criteria: Your local pharmacy for the common ailments scheme, UPCC where a GP is based in outpatients at the Maelor hospital or our independant prescriber. You do not have to divulge any information to the reception team.

The reception team will offer you a timed appointment with the GP on duty, you will be offered the choice of your appointment being a telephone call or face to face here at the surgery.

You can also request this service by using the text message traige Monday  - Friday 9am - 5pm this is advised  for NON - URGENT requests only. Please note it can take 2 working days for these quiries to be responded to.

Using the triage service you may be:

  • Asked to attend the practice
  • Given telephone advice
  • Sign-posted to other appropriate service
  • Investigations may be arranged
  • Given appointments with other staff in the practice

 

We do our best to keep waiting times to a minimum but urgent problems do arise unexpectedly and may delay some appointments. In these exceptional circumstances our receptionists will endeavour to keep you informed and give you the option to cancel and re-book your appointment.

If you are unable to keep an appointment, please advise the practice as soon as possible.

 

Interpretation Services

If you need an interpreter for your appointment, if possible please make the practice aware ahead of your appointment so we can arrange this for you.

 

Accidents and Emergencies

In the event of a serious accident or medical emergency, call 999 without delay.

Remember, however, that the Ambulance Service is an overstretched resource, particularly out of hours, and that unnecessary non-urgent calls place an extra burden on Ambulance crews.
